I defined the topic and style; I wanted that feeling of a Renaissance naturalist's manuscript. Researching materials, writing storyboards, coding animations, and composing music were all done by Opus 5.5. The drawings were made by Codex following the requirement documents written by Opus 5.5. The only thing that surprised me was the music. It first wrote a MIDI score in Python, containing chord progressions and two main melodies: a recorder playing Claude's theme, and a celesta playing GPT-like looping arpeggios. During the section where names fly around, the harpsichord notes were generated via random walks, becoming denser and more dissonant with each measure, ending with a dense dissonant chord followed by silence. Fast tempo is 2 seconds per measure, with key transitions landing on bar lines. Then it used the open-source synthesizer FluidSynth with a free standard soundfont library to 'perform' the score into audio. Lute, recorder, and organ timbres came from this library. Finally, ffmpeg was used to normalize loudness, fade out, and composite with the visuals.
